The Packers were amazed by Bug's Trip to the Store

What a great day! Met so many people today, some directors and publishers, agents to help me with ideas for my cartoon series, tooty, toot!  We'll see where that leads, but omg, what a great day!  I met Aaron Rogers in person, Leon's gonna flip!  And most of the rest of my family and friends who are avid packer goers/watchers.  Aaron and the Pack loved Bug's Trip to the Store, additional celebs that were excited about my book and wanted my john-hancock are Bern Cohen, Jillian Neal, Alex "Punch" Hyde-White, Nina Manni to name a few.  Here are some of their comments and pictures:

My favorite daughter, who has been invited to more VIP events at Sundance than a celebrity themself! She had chocolate covered strawberries, a VIP pass into a famous band, and several VIP parties, meeting Sean White, the professional snowboard champ to name a few.  Here's me and MY famous daughter, of whom I'm so proud:

Aaron Rogers, "What a great book!" It was nice to meet Aaron in person.

Even the packer crew like Bug, they thought it was really cool. (They towered over me, but it was so cool having them there and the positive comments they made about my book).

Jillian Neal from the Runaways said, "My neice will love this book, I can't wait to read it to her!"

Alex "Punch" Hyde-White, who starred in movies such as Pretty Women, was very impressed and offered to help me get my cartoon series on it's feet.  He said, "I love the idea and the character, how fun!"

Bern Cohen (and his daughter) really liked Bug's Trip to the Store, he said, "I think you have something here, what a creative idea, I can't wait to see it come to life on the movie screen!"

It was a special day in the celebrity lounge today.  I really enjoyed talking with so many talented and ambitious people who are living their dream, as I am mine.

Hugs to all!

Sites in the Utah Mountains

I did some more site seeing in the Utah Mountains before it gets really busy in the celebrity lounge starting this evening.  I can't wait to debut Bug's Trip to the Store and see the reactions to my character, Bug and the first book in Bug's Adventure Series.  So, to take a little stress off, I walked around the city.  There were several celebrities and police blocking roads, with camera-people in front posed ready for their first shot.  I took a few pictures of the mountains as I perused the area, take a look!

A view from my window

Here is a picture from the window in my room, at Park City, Utah. We are having a blast!  I took a short gander around the town.  It's a quaint little ski town, but, I hear there will be paparazzi all over the place tomorrow. phew

I absentmindedly left my poster on the plane, so I guess I'll do without.

I had homemade pizza from a local pizzaria, Davanza's, recommended by a guy I met on the plane who was going to snowboard all week.  (He does extreme sports for a living, how cool is that? He sold me on the kite surfing, I may try that when I'm near the ocean soon)

So far so good, I'll keep you posted on the experience.

Bug's Trip to the Store - Reviews

Bug's Trip to the Store is a wonderful rhyming story that captivates and teaches an important life-lesson. This is portrayed as Bug perseveres and overcomes an obstacle. Children can easily connect to the Bug and the conflict that occurs. A positive message that is clearly portrayed in the book is that "I can do it, and I need to believe in myself."   I encourage teachers, counselors, parents, and adults to follow Bug's Adventure Series!  ~ S. Goneau, Second Grade Teacher, @suser1

Great Children's book- I loved it, good vocabulary and very important message for kids! I recommend buying this book for any child in your life (children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends). ~ Traci Keller, teacher at Sarasota County Schools

This sweet and beautifully illustrated book teaches children to deal with their fears. It encourages them to meet their fear, calm themselves down, and stay focused on their intention while remaining kind to themselves and others. --Susan Piver, Author of How Not to Be Afraid of Your Own Life and The Wisdom of a Broken Heart

Bug's Trip to The Store is a fantastic book that shows children they can achieve their dreams with hard work and perseverance. The author shows children it’s okay to be frightened, but fear can be conquered. The story of Bug and how he overcomes his fears to reach his goal is told in encouraging and clever rhymes that don't talk down to children. Looking forward to Bug's next adventure and life lesson. ~ Mary Lowisz, Registered Nurse at Fort Atkinson Hospital

A little bit Dr. Seuss, with rhyming narrative. A little bit The Little Engine that Could, with a message about overcoming obstacles one step at a time. This children's book has jazzy colors and design and features the likeable Bug (V.W. Bug, not the insect type). The little car and the big semi make this a good book for young boys. ~Pam Chickering Wilson, staff writer at Daily Jefferson County Union
