Contemplating a daunting task...

I never thought mirror work would be such a daunting task.

I took this leadership class early this year, it is almost a year-long and we have daily assignments and agreements to complete the program.  So here I am, one month left and I am suppose to do mirror work.  Suffice it to say, the mirror work assignment was something I was to complete by the first weekend and I put it off.  I am finding this to be a reoccurring theme in this program and in my life.  I realize how much I avoid things that either scare me or I just 'don't want to do,' for some reason or another.  It's like there's this brick wall, and I just let the wall be there and either stand there waiting, or decide to go around it without really doing what is important to learn what I need to learn in life.

So, here I am, down to the wire, something I must do, memorize a poem and practice a script in front of a mirror for a couple of hours.  It doesn't sound like much, but it is a daunting task for me.

Instead of doing what I should be doing, I sit here writing in my blog, catching up on e-mails, getting another cup of coffee (to sooth my mind, I tell myself), put another load of wash in the washer and move the clothes that are clean in the dryer.  Not to mention checking facebook for the umpteenth time.  I read some more blogs and sit here contemplating the daunting task.

Will I make it through the short script this evening in front of my peers and coach?  Will I stand in front of them, share my stories vividly?   Will I make an impact?

Stay tuned...

Health Tip: Encourage Activities!

To encourage your child to be more active, consider giving gifts that will encourage physical activity such as a bike, roller blades, soccer ball or basketball, dance lessons or sports equipment instead of video games or DVDs.

What's up?

I know it's been a while.  My life has moved up a notch, more support around me and very inspired by that!  I am full of energy.  There is much going on.

I can't wait to show everyone the documentary, Advice from Extraordinary Women! It's coming along.

I'm knee-deep in the middle of recreating my business, it is amazing what is evolving and I'm really excited about it!  I can't wait to share more, taking what I do best as a consultant and transitioning into coaching executives and speaking at events about these Tranformational topics.  It's very fun watching the evolution of building people into something bigger than they know themselves to be, and connecting people to help grow their inspirational dreams.

I am back on facebook.  I would say I'm on it maybe in the morning to check news feeds and then in the evening to answer any messages or posts that come my way.  I have to admit, I will need to keep a close eye on diving too deep into it and loosing myself in it, because my time is precious.

Thank you for your support along the way.  Stay tuned!
